Advocating for a new school in Timberlea-Prospect

At a recent meeting with the Minister and Deputy Minister, I requested at least one new school in Timberlea-Prospect to address current overcrowding and projected increase of enrolment and presented concerns from parents and advocated for the area to be chosen as one of the four the province has committed to for the HRM region.

I am pleased to report that the purchase of approximately 11 acres was purchased by Public Works (the department the purchases land for new schools) following my last meeting.
