My office has been advised that HRM staff are finalizing the design for the traffic signals and street lighting planned at the intersection of Timberlea Village Parkway and St Margarets Bay Road. Construction is anticipated to begin next year in 2024.
Traffic lights at the intersection at Marketway Lane and Timberlea Village Parkway have also been requested and are in the planning stage with HRM and developer. The installation date for this set of lights has not yet been confirmed.
I will continue to make requests to HRM staff for additional infrastructure, especially along Timberlea Village Parkway, to make Timberlea a more pedestrian friendly community by adding active transportation lanes and sidewalks.
