In representing one the fastest growing regions in Nova Scotia, a priority for me has been to work with the Department of Health and Wellness, the Nova Scotia Health Authority, and pharmacists to support local medical clinics and bring more access to enhanced health care facilities to our area.
Advocating for the approval of The Bayers Lake Outpatient Center and its location in Timberlea-Prospect was achieved in 2017 and I am happy to say that construction remains on schedule.
I am pleased to report an additional $33.2 million dollars has been allocated to the Bayers Road Outpatient facility for the coming year. Investing in this infrastructure will increase health care services close to home. The facility is scheduled for completion in August 2023.
