The Five-Year Improvement Plan for building, repairing, and maintaining the province’s roads has been released by the Province.
The document confirms the following work that will be completed on provincial roads in 2024-2025. In the Prospect communities (the rest of the district is owned and maintained by HRM).
Active transportation widening continues along Prospect Road from Prospect Bay Road to Falcon Ridge Drive and continues in future years. My goal has always been to see the widening reach Peggy’s Cove.
Additional roads upgrades include:
- Whistlers Cove Road will receive double chip resurfacing.
- Welsh Brook Culvert, bridge repair work on the Prospect Road.
- Highway 103 will be repaved east bound lane from Exit 3 easterly to Beechville CNR overpass.
