The Mayflower Curling Club’s submission for grant funding from the Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage’s Rink Revitalization Fund was successful and prep work for the new building location is underway behind the Sobeys in Timberlea.
The Mayflower Curling Club is growing the sport of curling in the local community with the building of a new facility at Brunello Estates in Timberlea. This new building will replace their current aging facility, and provide a fully accessible space, and will also enable an inclusive, diverse, equitable, entry point for all ages and abilities to participate at both a recreational and competitive level.
CCTH has provided $150,000 toward the cost of the project. The Mayflower Club is planning to open in the fall of 2025.
