Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal ceremony

On November 29, 2022, I had the pleasure of welcoming people to a special night of celebration to receive Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal. It was an important evening to come together to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the province or to a particular region, community, or field.

The medal honours The Queen and her lifelong service to Canada, as well as those residents of Nova Scotia who, like Her Majesty, have devoted their lives to making this province a better place. The principles I believe this group of medal recipients share, align with Queen Elizabeth II’s values and devotion to civic duty and I appreciate the work these individuals have done to make the world a better place.

The recipients who received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal from my office include the following:

Barb Allen, Scott Baker, Sgt. Jessica Beatty, Lt. Jason Bond, Cynthia Carroll, Sherry Costa Lorenz, Patsy Crawford, Lori Edgar, Steven Estey, Matthew Gordon, Scott Guthrie, Allison Lawlor, John Little, Stella Lord, Cassidy McCarthy, Beth McGee, Maria Medioli, Steve Murphy, Dr. Tom Musial, Jenn Priske, The Reverend Cheryl Rafuse, The Reverend Margaret Sagar, Mike Townsend, Jennifer Veres, and Maureen Yeadon.
