The historic Mayflower Curling Club is opening a new, state-of-the-art facility in Timberlea this September, bringing recreation, community events, and economic benefits to the area.

Starting in September, HRCE is proposing a boundary change that would see Brookside Junior High students attend Bay View High School in Grade 10 to ease enrolment at Halifax West. Current Halifax West students from the affected area can remain at the school until graduation, with transportation support maintained.
